Riverwalk Trust accomplishes this mission through advocacy on behalf of the Riverwalk Park, communication through its Web site and Go Riverwalk magazine, its diverse offerings of events and its membership activities. Riverwalk Trust is currently pursuing projects to enhance and protect the integrity of the Riverwalk community, such as design guidelines for thoughtful development, funding for capital improvements and park enhancements, park programming and sustainability, management and final completion. It is our goal to create a public space in Downtown Fort Lauderdale where the many functions of community life can take place, where people feel ownership and connectedness and where they perceive their riverfront park as true common ground. In short, we strive to create a great waterfront place where people want to be.

HAS A RUNAWAY RUN INTO DANGER?

BSO Case Number: BS10-01-05678
PIO Number: 10-4-9
Date: 2/3/10
Time: 6:30 p.m. Jurisdiction: Unincorporated Broward County
Place of Occurrence: Unincorporated Broward County
Victim(s):

Jainy Santos-Ramos, 14, female, 11/25/95, 1820 SW 44 Terrace, #2, unincorporated Broward County.
Suspect(s):

N/A
Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a young girl. Although she’s known to be a habitual runaway, she has never been gone this long.

It’s been over two months since Lazaro Santos last saw his 14-year-old daughter Jainy. On Jan. 25, Santos filed a missing persons report with BSO after his daughter didn’t return home from school. Nine days later, on February 3, Santos contacted deputies to notify them of Jainy’s return. However, that same night, at around 11 p.m., she left again and her father hasn’t seen her since.

Santos hoped his daughter would come home but a month later, after not seeing or hearing from her, he once again filed a missing persons report with BSO. He fears her extended absence could mean she’s run into trouble on the streets.

Jainy is a white female who measures about 5’7” in height, weighs about 120 lbs., and has brown, collar-length hair and green eyes. She was last seen in the Ft. Lauderdale area and has been known to frequent the water creek on SW 25th Street, between SW 41 Avenue and the Riverland Park.

Anyone with information about Jainy’s whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Missing Persons Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4240. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Broward Crime Stoppers by calling 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org.

Crime Report from Tarpon River

This was just reported from a neighbor north of Davie Blvd. - Do not hesitate to call 911 if you see these people in Croissant Park.

Tarpon River , 11th Court

About 10:15 AM today 3 black males broke into our house. They kicked the glass out of the back door and went through almost everything in the house. Two males circled the area in an old, (95-97?) silver Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix with dark tinted windows, while the third was in the house. Fortunately, a neighbor saw what was going on and called the police. Although they did take many items, much was left behind. I had to run an errand and was only gone for about 45 minuets, so they may have been watching. Please be on the lookout.
