Broward County Supervisor of Elections Accepting Applications for College Scholarship
Broward County, FL. (February 10, 2010) –Dr. Brenda C. Snipes, Broward County Supervisor of Elections, is pleased to announce that she will be accepting applications for the Florida State Association of Supervisor of Elections (FSASE) scholarship. The FSASE is comprised of the Supervisor of Elections from Florida’s 67 counties.
Each Supervisor of Election will submit one application with a written recommendation to The FSASE, who will award three scholarships in 2010 valued at $1,200 each.
Those who may be eligible for the scholarship are college juniors and seniors majoring in political science, public administration, business administration, journalism or mass communications at an accredited Florida college. The students must also have maintained a “C” average or above during the past year.
Additional requirements such as financial need and letters of recommendation are listed on the scholarship application and in the scholarship guidelines, which are available for download at: www.browardsoe.org
The scholarship applications must be returned by Friday, March 19, 5:00 p.m. to the Broward County Supervisor of Election’s main office: 115 South Andrews Avenue, Room 102, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.
