Help build a community playground at Bryant Peney ParkThe City of Fort Lauderdale and the Fraternal Order of Police is seeking volunteers to build a new park playground on Saturday, January 10, 2015, to coincide with the passing of Patrolman Peney, who died in the line of duty in 1996 at age 27. A dedication and luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. following the build.
The event will take place at Bryant Peney Park, 2100 SW 4 Avenue, beginning at 8 AM. Parking is available at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
If you are unable to participate, but would still like to help, donations may be made to the Bryant Peney Scholarship Fund. www.bryantpeney.com
